Phil Farnsworth's invention. (The Power of hypnosis)

Who is Phil Farnsworth? You probably asked yourself this question when you saw the title... Phil Farnsworth is the man who invented television, and the irony is that he never allowed his offspring to come near his invention.

Today, television is the most utilized tool for information, latest trends and, oh yeah, it contributes predominantly in emanating self-consciousness among society. Most children we're raised by television due to their parents being held hostage daily or by being devout 9-5ers and it makes children also want to be like their parents, for obvious reasons. I mean, we've seen and still see how television shows and these sitcoms makes it look so cool to be in the working class. The more the children see it on television, the more they develop the desire to alter it into actuality-it's the power of hypnosis. The same reason why crime is at the stratosphere, it's because of how directors, writers and producers make villains appear more appealing and pharonic on television. So why not be thugs, kids? TV said it's cool.

Prime time shows are adorned by villains, I mean, these producers deserve their cat stripes for this one. It's all part of the system-Crime doesn't pay but it pays authority( I know you don't understand this now, but you will when your eye opens). Alcohol consumption is rife in our neighborhoods and mostly among the youth, the funny part is that the government acts like it's playing a part in ameliorating the situation. Big alcohol brands are endorsed by the celebrities that the youth deem heroic and I gotta vaunt the marketers for making the ads extremely luring. The politicians are always running their noun holes about how the youth is losing direction as if they're not the ones who are misleading them with the fake beacons like Samora Machel's last day, in Mbuzini. I probably lost you, there(no pun intended). The government is very strategic when it comes to leading the youth and most Africans astray through television. Have you ever asked yourself why alcohol ads are aired throughout the day on television and the "Not for sale to persons under the age of 18" text is marginally kenspeckle, and poisonous shows are aired on prime time but educational ones are aired from midnight to early morning-that's the time where the general population is off to the land of nod. Have you seen these lifestyle shows? Especially the dating shows...it's so sad to watch so many people dishonoring their visual tools by watching such utter rotten applesauce. Everything is all about materials these days, owing to these shows that make many families deem the lounge a place to settle. These so called reality TV shows that air ersatz reality for the youth, do more damage to their brains as much as pornography and drugs do.

You may not concur or you may carry a different perception but the actuality is that these shows have contributed chiefly in perpetuating self-consciousness in black communities, let alone the mainstream music videos. Most wenches would choose to score as low as drowning in their respective dubious honors of being vixens, underwear models and anything that involves excessive make-up, weaves and any career that derogates the pulchritudinous image of a true African woman. Young woman are more than capable of being gynecologists, cardiologists, archeologists, and any vaunted profession that is deemed unattainable for them, instead of aiming as low as being exploited in these mainstream music videos. We need to explore ways of educating the youth or ways that'll turn the public eye from percepting independent thinkers as blasphemous. We need to teach the youth to be comfortable in being themselves. We can't keep vaunting this culture of spending thousands of rands just to buy foreign hair in order to augment one's self-esteem and confidence. The black youth must be exposed to the idea of spending more of their money on black designers, black tuck shop owners, black businesses because our celebrities prefer endorsing European brands because they pay them well. I'm not trying to portray celebrities and public figures as villains, but my intention is to enlighten the public about the possibilities and dangers of television to a human brain, more especially the youth. The system was created to mislead the black youth because the future of the nation depends on the state of mind of the youth, and once the youth gets the wrong direction, the whole nation is doomed. This is war! It may not be physical, and we seem to be losing daily if you take a look at the young boys and girls' respective lifestyles in the townships. Young boys are deep into drugs, crime and toxic behavior while young girls are deep inside the life of selling their bodies for materials so they can look like their role models who constantly show off their designer clothes, check-in in 5-star hotels, and the young girls end up doing anything to attain those materials.

The system was carefully designed, if you take a good look at it. Teach the kids to go to school, get good grades, go to varsity and be slaves to caucasian capitalists who barely comprise the accolades that most employees have obtained, and work til retirement, have more kids and less time to spend with them, send them to the grandparents, obviously they won't be able to keep up with how fast modern life is and that means the children are exposed to anything that the system wants them to. If you go back to the previous sentence, you can spot the disconnection of all the generations in a black household. Notice how shows that aren't educational are aired during the time frame of 8pm to 10pm, the time where most families get time to put their derrieres on their couches without any distractions. Most conversations at the schools' assemblies in the morning, schools during lunch and during the day or most typical conversations between black people have to include what they watched during the period of 8pm to 10pm. The whole yard becomes dominated by interlocutors who verbally broadcast the episode of the primetime show that aired on the previous night, whether you like it or not you're automatically included in the conversation. Even if you had no idea what was the rotten applesauce about, you'll get a lucid picture of that particular motion picture that the general population percieved. Take a look at Black Twitter, for instance. I barely watch Television, but when I get to the section of trending tweets or mentions, I'd most likely find a certain TV show trending, when I explore all the posts that have mentioned that particular show you'd connect all those posts and get a clear picture of the whole episode as if you were watching it too, and the perks of black Twitter is that it offers you a farcical version of that show. Oh God, I love being black ha ha. The speed of light is more expeditious than the speed of sound, hence the old aphorism that is still relevant today : "Perception of reality is more realer than reality itself". The reason why the general population gets fleeced easily by the government and the white capitalists. It is also the reason why pain suspenders are called "Pain killers" in order for the public to believe that they truly work. I'm trying to expose your Ajna to the nefarious motives and activities that are made less kenspeckle by the ones who you've given the authority to be in charge of your calvaria tools. Television has also contributed greatly in segregating Africans. In townships, nowadays, you only get respect based on what you're wearing, driving or your financial status. We're no longer living in a world where you have to automatically love and respect your fellows because they're of the same race as you, not in this era.

Relationships, nowadays are mostly about materials more than love and affection. Young girls want men who are already affluent, because that's what they've been exposed to, as of late. Most African girls' ideal man is a guy who can afford weave, data bundles and all the materials they think will soothe their souls. Little did they know that the soul is abstract, and therefore it's utterly impossible for concrete objects to soothe what is deemed abstract. We live in the times whereby we, mostly, depend on Television for information. I'm not saying throw away your Televisions, Which would be a ludicrous decision, but please be vigilant of how you utilize this tool. Make sure that most of the shows you watch, are educational and make sure that you always feed your calvaria tool the food that will keep it open, at all times.

The objects of fear

The great Bantu Biko , once said that fear is an important determinant in South African politics. In fact, that’s what all governments use to contain the civilians. Fear, is not the power that one attains, but the power that he is given by the ones who fear him.  Allow me, to quote the legendary Biko: “It is a fear so basic in the considered actions of black people as to make it impossible for them to behave like people---let alone free people.” “One must not underestimate the deeply imbedded fear of the black man so prevalent in white society. Whites know only too well what exactly they have been doing to blacks and logically find reason for the black man to be angry. Their state of insecurity however does not outweigh their greed for power and wealth, hence they brace themselves to react against this rage rather than to dispel it with open-mindedness and fair play.” “It sometimes looks obvious here that the great plan is to keep the black people thoroughly intimidated and

Resurrection

Christians would think of Jesus, first, when this word is being mentioned. According to Merriam Webster dictionary, it is the rising again of all the human dead before the final judgment; or the state of one risen from the dead. It is, simply, about revival nor the process of renewal. In Christianity, Jesus Christ was crucified and resurrected on the third day. In the African culture, resurrection comprises a nexus with ancestors nor the ones who are considered deceased or late, on earth, like Christ. We may find resurrection being elucidated in a variety of ways from disparate perspectives and, mostly from religious perspectives. In the ancient Greek religion, there are many instances where the concept of resurrection gains enormous relevance. Memnon, who was killed by Achilles, was resurrected.  Achilles, after being killed, was resurrected by his mother, Thetis. Asclepius, was resurrected and altered into a more colossal deity, subsequent to being killed by Zeus.  Alcest

Dark.

“Dark” the total absorption of light nor utter absence of light; the most feared state. There are nyctophiles, also. It is quite kenspeckle that the hoi polloi had been programmed to associate dark or the darkness with only nefarious, uncongenial, evil things; the hilarious part is that this idea or thought was popularized by those who are subjectively attracted to the light or the white color. For centuries, we’ve seen and still see how the dark people and all other people were convinced that black or dark is the antonym of pulchritude. Credulous Africans, who lack self-knowledge, believed it. Hence, for decades, we’ve seen (and still do) dark people altering their pigment to be lighter, in lieu of dark. Most, claim it’s a decision they took, not out of self-contempt. But, change, inextricably makes the past existence of a substance nor image to often be treated with contempt, if not utter.  If you take a good look at this “black" or “white" matter, you’d ascerta
